01Before you open a box, our server generates a server seed and publishes its SHA-256 hash. This commits us to that seed before you act.
02Your browser generates a client seed (you can customise this in Account Settings). This seed is yours alone.
03A sequential nonce increments with each box you open under the current seed pair.
04HMAC-SHA256(server seed, client seed + nonce) produces a hex string. The first 8 characters are converted to a number and divided by 0xFFFFFFFF to produce a float between 0 and 1. Multiply by 10,000 and floor it for a roll from 0 to 9,999.
05That roll maps to your prize based on the published probability weights in that box.
06After a seed rotation, the original server seed is revealed. You can now verify every historical result independently using any HMAC-SHA256 calculator - including the built-in tool on our Fairness page.
